While units were enroute, a second call was received indicating the plane appeared to be a float plane and was now airborne again.

Squad 50 and Engine 50 arrived and confirmed there was no aircraft immediately visible on the water, continuing to search to the south using binoculars. The original complainant had returned to the boat launch and confirmed he could no longer see the plane where it had landed.

As additional units were arriving, the plane was spotted in the air as it approached from the south, proceeding to land again on the water. Law enforcment officers were able to obtain the tail number, but as there was no apparent distress or need for assistance, all units returned to quarters.
