Grass Fire

A permitted burn went out of control north of Clarkston near the Idaho border.  The fire was burning towards wildland fuels in the foothills. 

The landowner called for assistance and continued to work the edge of the fire with a tractor and disc.

Responding on the call are Brush 10, Brush 11, Tender 10, Tender 11 (Clarkston), Brush 50, Brush 51, Tender 52 (Newton), Brush 130, Brush 131 (Trenton), Brush 20 (Lewiston) and Cache County Fire District officers.

The bulk of the responding units have arrived and are working the fire.

Working Structure Fire

Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 8:57 PM.

Units from several stations are operating at a working structure fire in Wellsville.

The initial call for assistance was paged at 7:39 PM.  Firefighters found a residence on fire with a large amount of smoke and flame showing.

After knockdown, operations switched to mop-up.  Additional personnel have been called to the scene for manpower assist from 3 additional stations within the last 20 minutes.

Engine 50 was paged at 8:57 PM and is responding to the call.

Medical Assist

Monday, October 11, 2010.

Ambulance 160 (CCEMS), Squad 50 (Newton) and Squad 70 (Logan) were dispatched to an address in Newton for a medical assist.
