Brush 50 and Battalion 3A responded to a grass fire west of Newton.
The first report from the complainant prompted a page for a brush unit from Station 10 to assist. Shortly afterwards the property owner contacted dispatch stating the fire was the remainder of an agricultural burn. Brush 50 arrived to find a few small areas of active flame in the field. Brush 10 was cancelled and Brush 50 remained on scene with huge property owner, finally extinguishing the last of the flames.
