Squad 50 adn Rescue 40 responded to a request for medical assistance at an address in the county, east of Newton.
Utility Problem

Engine 50 and 3A222 responded to a report of a power line down on SR 142 north of Newton. With assistance from law enforcement, SR 142 was closed until a power company representative arrived.
In order to isolate the damaged line it was necessary to cut power to the area for a short time. Fire units have cleared and the power has been restored while repairs are underway.
