Medical Assist

Friday, May 28, 2010 – 3:18 PM.

Medical units have been paged to a call for assistance at a Clarkston, UT address.

Ambulance 160 (CCEMS), Squad 10 (Clarkston), Squad 50 (Newton) and Squad 71 (Logan) are responding to the call.

Tender Task Force

Friday, May 28, 2010 – 9:24 AM.

A Tender Task Force Alarm was requested by fire units responding to a working structure fire in a non-hydrant area near Wellsville, UT.

Tender 50 (Newton) was on the 1st alarm assignment for that address and was paged along with tenders from other stations to respond for water supply at the fire.

Arriving engine companies began operations at the scene and determined that the fire could be controlled with the units already on scene.

The remainder of the tender assignment was cancelled.  Tender 50 returned to quarters.

Fire, Other

Saturday, May 22, 20010 at 9:23 PM

Fire units responded to a report of a large fire in the campground area of Newton Reservoir.  Information from dispatch indicated individuals were burning pallets and throwing gasoline on the fire.

Engine 50, Brush 51 (Newton) and Battalion 3 Alpha (CCFD) responded to Newton Reservoir. 

A visible fire near the boat ramp was investigated but it was not the source of the complaint.  Brush 51 and Battalion 3 Alpha  searched the north and west area of the reservoir. Brush 51 located the fire and met with CCSO Deputies who were on scene.

The fire was under control at the time of arrival, all fire units returned to quarters.




Medical Assist

Tuesday, 5/18/2010, 12:44 PM. 

EMS units were dispatched to Clarkston for a medical assist.

Responding were Squad 10 (Clarkston), Squad 50 (Newton) and Ambulance 160 (CCEMS).

Squad 50 was cancelled by Squad 10 personnel.  Ambulance 160 provided patient transport.

Crash with HazMat Spill

Wednesday 5/12/2010.  EMS unites were called to a crash in Clarkston, 1 person injured on first report.

Responding were Squad 10 and Engine 10 (Clarkston), Squad 50 (Newton) and Ambulance 160 (CCEMS).

Command reported additional patients had been located, and one of the vehicles had spilled a portion of its load of pellet-type fertilizer.  Additional ambulances were requested and a HazMat Assignment to clean up the spilled fertilizer.

The HazMat assignment included Engine 50 (Newton), Engine 130 (Trenton), HazMat 20 (Lewiston), HazMat 120 (North Logan) and Hazmat 70 (Logan) and Health Department 1.

The HazMat units from Lewiston, North Logan and Logan were cancelled when it was determined that the clean up could be handled with the engine companies and private resources.

Injured persons requiring transport were taken by ambulance to the hospital.  The spill was cleaned up and all units cleared the scene.

Medical Assist

at 5:10 AM on May 11, EMS units were paged to a medical assist in Clarkston.

Ambulance 160 (CCEMS), Squad 71 (Logan) Squad 10 (Clarkston) and Squad 50 (Newton) responded.
