Brush 50, Brush 51, Tender 50 and County Fire responded to a grass fire at Newton Reservoir. The fire started in the campsite area west of the reservoir and quickly spread. Brush 11 was passing through returning to quarters after a detail and was added to the call.
Squad 50, Ambulance 160 and Squad 120 were paged to evaluate a male staying in the camping area for possible smoke inhalation.
Later, Brush 40, Brush 130, Tender 130 and Tender 20 were called to assist with mop up. Brush 50 will remain on scene through the night to monitor the fire. All other units have cleared.
