Vehicle Crash

Squad 50 and Engine 50 of Newton responded with Ambulance 160 (CCEMS) to a report of a one vehicle crash south of Cache Junction on SR 23. It was reported that the vehicle had exited the road and had impacted a utility pole.

Squad 50 and Engine 50 arrived in the area of 5011 N State Road 23 and confirmed that a utility pole was down as a result of the crash, and that the driver had exited the vehicle safely. Cache County Sherriff's Deputies and UHP Troopers arrived to investigate the crash and shortly afterwards Ambulance 160 arrived to assist with the evaluation of the driver who was the single occupant of the vehicle.

After a short medical evaluation the driver declined transport and medical personnel were released from the scene. A power company representative arrived to begin the work of restoring service to the 3 or 4 residences that had lost power due to the crash. With the power company handling the utility problem Engine 50 was released and returned to quarters.
