Station 50 with Battalion 3A responded to a grass fire along the railroad tracks in Wheelon Canyon.
On arrival Battalion 50 reported approximately 1 acre had burned, but fire spread would be minimal due to the Union Pacific acces road which acted as a fire break. Brush 50 and Tender 50 were able to quickly knockdown the flames and proceeded with mop up. Tender 51 was staged nearby as a backup water source.
All units have cleared and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
